Emon Archives #07 Hideyuki Ishibashi
Last year, I had the chance to be invited by Institut français du Japon – Kansai and Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains to participate to La Nuit Blanche Kyoto 2021 and KG+ Kyotographie satellite event. I would like to take this opportunity to warmly thank Monica Lebrao Sendra, Sae Shimai, and Pascale Pronnier for this invitation.
I worked 3 months in Kyoto with students and archaeologists on my project called “Latent”, focused on the pottery history of Kyoto’s Gojozaka district through an old ceramic studio “Fujihira Climbing Kiln”.
I had the chance to be followed during my production by EMON PHOTO GALLERY in Tokyo… and here’s the “behind making” video (17 min, English subtitle)!
..and again, many thanks to Seiji Komatsu for this amazing film!
